According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the Miami Heat will open their season at home on October 30th vs the Boston Celtics. The major story line aside from the Heat likely raising their championship banner will be that Ray Allen, the former Celtic, signed away by Miami this offseason will be on the other side of the Green and White right away.

The full NBA schedule is expected out this week, but notable Heat games include:

  • November 2nd @ New York Knicks (first road game)
  • December 25th vs Oklahoma City Thunder (finals rematch)
  • December 31st vs Orlando Magic (New Years Eve day game)
  • January 17th @ LA Lakers
  • January 30th @ Brooklyn Nets (only appearance in Brooklyn)
  • February 10th vs LA Lakers
  • February 14th @ Oklahoma City Thunder (finals rematch)

Teams have been given preliminary schedules, but changes can be made until the final draft is released later this week.
