The turnover in Oakland continues.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported via twitter that the Oakland Raiders fire head coach Hue Jackson today.
The first year head coach lead his team to an 8-8 season, but failed to guide them to the playoffs.
He was also instrumental in a trade deadline deal that saw the Raiders ship a first-round pick and supplemental first rounder to the Cinncinati Bengals for disgruntled quarterback Carson Palmer.
The need for a new QB was necessary after started Jason Campbell was injured in October. The team was 4 and 2 at the time.
Jackson began his tenure with the Raiders as offensive co-ordinator in 2010, leading the offensive to 6th in the league in total points.
